Sitting down with Kirsten to talk about my writing goals/intentions was very helpful for hearing my blocks from my own voice and getting practical advice on how to rethink and work around them. She encouraged me to find my own process and create a ritual around writing that will help me stay consistent and focused. I got practical writing tips for longer projects which I found very helpful. For example, if I can’t think of what to write in the moment, I can always type a note to myself to insert more on ____ here. She even gave me suggestions that were outside of the normal ways of thinking about writing so that I could expand my mindset on how to get started on a bigger writing project.
