Professional Feedback to Inspire!
Manuscript Critique for the self-published author.
Hi, writers! Are you making progress on your latest manuscript? Are there any sections you’re not too sure about and could benefit from a second opinion? Hire a professional writer and editor to offer insightful feedback on your valuable piece. Writing a book is no small task, and if you’re like me, you want to make sure it’s perfect before your readers have it.
A manuscript critique can happen at any point in the writing process. Whether you need your full book reviewed or just a few paragraphs, I’d love to help. What are the strengths in your piece? Which parts could use a bit of tweaking? I will honestly and constructively provide a critique that will both encourage you and strengthen your writing style.
Kirsten McNeill,
Editor & Beta Reader
Hi! I’m Kirsten, the passionate face of Worthy Writers Editing! I’m an avid reader of thriller novels, who studied Creative Writing in college, but also loves urban fantasy and contemporary romance (and always looking to expand). Since 2015, I’ve worked with fellow indie authors as a writer and editor.
Whenever I read, even for pleasure, I find myself critiquing what could have gone more smoothly and wish I could talk to the author to understand them better! I have a podcast Worthy Writers Podcast where I share encouragement for writers and explore my own journey. Also, I continuously improve my skills by:
- Attending online courses such as Grammar for Writing Professionals.
- Reading books such as The Positive Trait Thesaurus by Angela Ackerman & Becca Puglisi, Self-Editing For Fiction Writers by Renni Browne and Dave King, and On Writing: A Memoir Of The Craft by Stephen King.
You cannot find one better than Kirsten McNeill! After much consideration and review of her content I chose Kirsten to critique the 2nd and 3rd books of my series. Kirsten has a very open and direct way of communicating; she has great insight and truly understands the process. She offered amazing feedback, encouragement, and I will be using her for all of my stories as I continue with my career. If you are looking for an editor that will be honest, insightful and uplifting, you cannot find one better than Kirsten McNeill.

Fantasy AuthorManuscript Critique Packages Available for All Writers and Self-Published Authors
I work with self-published authors to help them ensure their work is on the right track in young adult, sweet romance, fantasy, mystery, and self-help genres. I also have my own self-published books!
With my manuscript critique package, you will receive considerate and constructive feedback on:
- Your strengths in the plot, characters, and writing style.
- Improvements in the same areas as above that may help enhance your piece.
A critique is my evaluation of the piece using my experience and opinions to create useful feedback for you. It may be difficult to take criticism (I know I have trouble sometimes), but rest assured that I will always deliver my feedback with kindness and an open mind.
