Welcome to Worthy Writers Podcast! Listen on Spotify and all major platforms.
In this episode, I chat with fellow indie author and co-owner of the Worthy Writers Nook Facebook Group, D.C. Cook, about navigating self-worth and confidence as a writer. DC Cook, also known as Danielle, writes YA and adult romance novels under her pen name.
We discuss her journey from fanfiction to publishing original works, including her recent fantasy romance retellings. When it comes to writing that first draft, Danielle shares this key advice: “First drafts are perfect because all the first draft has to do is exist.” She reminds us not to stress or over-edit too early – just enjoy the creative process.
Tune in to hear more of Danielle’s wisdom on writing with confidence and passion!
